Love encompasses every part of our lives, from the warmth of the sun
to cuddling before a blazing fire while snow blankets the ground outside.
But romance ... ah, that takes effort and a desire to please.

Booksigning at Book 'Em North Carolina.
I had a fun time at the Book 'Em signing, held at Robeson Community College in Lumberton, North Carolina. Over 75 authors attended, including my friends Carolyn Howard-Johnson, a great promotion author (left photo above), and New York Times Bestselling author Mary Alice Monroe (left photo above). The purpose of The Book 'Em Foundation and this event is to raise public awareness of the link between high crime rates and high illiteracy rates. Proceeds from the Book 'Em North Carolina book fairs go directly to increasing literacy in Robeson County, NC and to reducing crime in the area. Chuck Williams
A special treat this year: Hollywood Producer, Actor, Screenwriter and Director Chuck Williams attended Book 'Em (pictured here with my hubby, Rick).
Chuck spoke on "Taking Books to Movies," discussing the process of turning books into movies. Rick attended the event and said it was an excellent and factual presentation.
Chuck also provided a special presentation of Straight Into Darkness, a movie that Chuck produced, and one that Rick and I had seen previously and truly enjoyed.
